I still practice with the composition, just to make sure that I can play the composition fluently with the right tempo. I still need to keep practicing with my teammates because the exam day is coming. The music assessment will be on the eight of June during the exam day.

Now I am finally done with the composition, but I still need to practice more with my teammates. I need to cooperate well with my teammates so I can get the right tempo while playing this song. There are still mistakes occurred in this practice.

I still practice with the 32 bars of the composition, and I haven't learn the rest yet. I still need to practice this with my teammates, to make it perfect. I still need to think about the rhythm for the cello melody part, the last part of the composition.

This is the for the continuation of my composition, now I have 32. I just need a couple of bars to finish the composition. The plan is the rest of the composition will consist of the cello part of melody.

I still practice for the same thing as yesterday, I am still practicing with the first 24 bars. I really need to memorize the melody part, because that is where the guitar is playing for the composition and piano and cello are just as the rhythm.

This is the first 20 bars of the composition, I only got 4 bars for my melody part. I still need to practice on this and continue it. Maybe I will need 4 more bars for my melody part.

In this video I am playing the first 24 bars of the composition I think I'm done with my melody and I just need to follow and make the rhythm for my teammates to complete the composition. But I still need to practice the melody part of the composition.

Still the first 16 bars of the composition, I just wanna make sure that I am 100% fluent at it. I am practicing now with the right tempo to make my guitar sound to rhyme well with my other teammates.

I practice again with the first 16 bars of the composition, these 16 were all chords. I need to remember this part really well, because sometimes I forgot the chords position while play a song. I just want to make sure that I can play the chords.

This is my first video for the group composition. This is the first 8 bars of the composition and I still need to improve and play it fluently with my teammates. I play the song with pick to make my guitar sounds louder.

This is me playing the first 8 bars of my composition. But this time I don't use pick to play the song because i just realize, that if I use pick it sounds too strong and does not match with my teammates. I still need to practice the song to make it more fluent.

Monday, 28-5-2012

Today is the last day for music session, there's no class for Friday because the school give students a study day holiday for the exam. I practice with my teammates as usual and I feel confident for the upcoming exam, I can play the whole composition with no pauses and, in my opinion the song sounds really great. Before the session ends, each group need to perform in front of the class and teacher record our play. There are no instrument class because it was used for the groups to perform their composition. I still need to practice with my teammates during that study day to make it perfect for the exam day.

Today, the class were divided by their groups to practice on their own specified place to practice. My group have the piano room to practice. Mr Herry help me to add melodies in the composition for the guitar part, so then the guitar will not always be the sidekicks for piano and cello. This addition make the composition sounds much more interesting, it gives gloomy mood to the song which is the main theme of the composition. There are no instrument class afterwards because the time was up when me and my teammates are done practicing with the composition.

Today, my group and the other group perform their own composition in front of their class. Even though, my composition was not finished I try my best to show the teacher what I got so far. I still need to practice to collaborate with my teammates, because the tempo will be a crucial thing in a performance, I need to make the tempo identical with my teammates. I forgot some of the notes in my part of the composition and the teacher help me evaluate my performance and play better. There are no instrument class for today, it was spent for the groups to practice their composition.

Today, we need to hand in our final draft for the composition made in finale. My team has submitted the final draft but There may be change occurred during the process later on. Each team was tested to perform in front of the class, and show to the teacher what have we done so far. I need to practice more with my teammates because my team were not really prepared and still need much more practice. There's no instrument class because it was spent for me and my team to continue and practice the composition.

Today, some of the groups in my class have done the draft of the composition. Our draft was checked by the teacher, and we need to play the composition in group to show it to the class. After all the groups are done with their performance, the teacher give each of the group feedback to improve the composition. The teacher said that I need to practice more to make it more fluent and if possible they want me to use amplified guitar to make the guitar sounds better. And then we continue our composition as usual. Today we had no instrument class.

Today, we are divided in groups as usual and our task is to continue the composition. I practice the composition, because I am still not fluent to play the composition. Afterwards, my group continue to make the composition. So far, the composition sounds good with piano, guitar and cello. I am sure that if the group play it fluently it will be a very good composition, but I still need to practice more. The instrument session was spent for us to continue the composition.

Today, some of the groups in my class perform of what they got so far for the composition. I just got the first 8 bars of the composition and I still need to work on it with my teammates. I ask for help from my friend to have some of the chords for the composition, because I am not that kind of expert that could predict the chords so easily, but I did find the chords too for some of the chords. I still need to practice on the composition with my teammates. As usual the instrument class session was used for making the composition.

We are usually divided into our musical group, we are supposed to make the first 16 bars today, but I can't finish the whole 16 bars, because my team have a problem in making the the composition. I need to wait for the piano player to make the composition then I can predict the chords for the song. Me and my team still need to think about the first 16 bars first. Maybe I need to go to my group mate's house to continue the composition. Today, I had no instrument class because the instrument class was spent for the composition.

Today, Mr John is absent and he is replaced by Mr Herry. We are divided into our musical group and start to make the first four bars. My group mates are Verena and Blanka, it's a good thing that I got a pianist and a Cello player, these instruments will make the song sounds good. The chords for the first 4 bars are Am, G, F, and G. I still need to think of the continuation of the song, practice the song with my group.

Today, I have the national exam from 8am to 10 am, so I could't attend music class for today. I need to ask my friends about today's music session and what have I missed while I am absent.

Today we had the assessment for singing, my group mattes are Hashfi and Verena. I did the assessment well enough and I don't feel nervous at all. As usual, I need to fill in the reflection booklet after I am done with the singing assessment. The whole class sing "Heal the World" by Michael Jackson afterwards, just for fun, whole of the class enjoy to sing that song. I don't have time for instrument class. I think that I can't attend the next music session because I will have a national exam on Monday.

Today, we had a practice to make our own short composition, and we need to find its chords for the composition, the purpose of this practice is for the next assessment which includes making compositions with chords and counter melody. I learn that the composition added with the chords sounds much more better. Afterwards, the class practice to sing the pop song. The assessment is on next meeting, I feel ready to sing the song because I can do the rap part with the lyric on the screen fluently. But I still need to practice more, remember the lyric is also important in order to have no pauses while singing.

Today, I learn more about chord progressions and I had a lesson about compositions; I can add or change some of the notes from a composition to make it sounds different, but there are rules to change notes in order to make the song stay on its track. After then, the class practice more for the singing assessment. We need lyrics for the rap, we search a video in youtube that shows the lyric and practice to sing with that video plays on. I just play guitar as usual in the instrument class.

Today is the first day of the 4th term, the teacher told us the first assessment on this term 4. We are going to sing a Western Song in a group. For today, the whole class practice the song titled "The Price Tag" by Jessie J. I have heard this song before and I remember some of the lyric of the song. The rap part is a new stuff for me and it is hard to rap. Because of the singing practice I only had 15 minutes for instrument class. I still need to remember the lyric of the song.

Today, is the assessment day, yesterday schedule was cancelled because most of the students are absent. At first, I was a little bit nervous because there some of my friends watching the performance in the music room. As the music plays, I start to play it well afterwards. The assessment goes well and I hope I will get a good score for that, I feel pretty confident with my performance on this assessment and the audience gives a pretty good responses too. I need to update my reflections on my blog, because I have forgotten to write the reflection on some of my music class before.

Today is the last day to practice these two song, the assessment will be tomorrow after school, in the usual music theory classroom. After all, I am ready for the assessment tomorrow after all those practices I have before the assessment. I just need to practice more to be more fluent in playing Salute De Amour and Minuet, otherwise I'll be nervous tomorrow and mistakes are highly possibly happened. I do the same thing for instrument class, practice Minuet and Salute De Amour.

Today, as usual the class practice the two romantic songs for the assessment. I could play the whole song after a lot of practice for them both. Now I am trying to play them fluently, because sometimes there are pauses and I miss some of the notes. I really need to prepare for the assessment. I only had like 10 minutes for instrument class, I just had a little practice for those two songs.
